About The Role

Designation : Software Engineer

Reporting to : Lead Engineer

Location : Bangalore, Full Time

Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ information technology/ or any related field.

Experience : 4 to 6 Years and global exposure with US businesses

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Global Innovation Center (GIC) in India for Transco, a Marmon Rail Company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VB.Net desktop applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams at Transco US to maintain and deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities / Functions:

• Design, development, and deployment of new features and enhancements in .Net core.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve functionality and performance.
• Document development processes, procedures, and application maintenance procedures.
• Mandatory Skills:
• Languages/Frameworks: .NET
• Databases: MSSQL Server, MySQL (Strong SQL and Stored Procedures, Triggers)
• Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Advanced DHTML, (Nice to Have)
• API Development: RESTful APIs and integration

• Collaboration & Support:
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Provide support for upgrades and performance tuning
• Performance Optimization:
• Analyse and optimize the performance of the solution for smooth user experience.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks related to both the front-end (UI) and back-end.
• Reports:
• Experience in building complex and domain-specific reports using Crystal Reports
