Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Underwriter to join our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Review loan applications for compliance with regulatory requirements and client guidelines.
2. Analyze income, employment, credit history, property appraisal, and other relevant factors to determine the risk involved in approving a loan.
3. Calculate LTV/CLTV/HCLTV/DTI/HTI and check all information relevant to the credit decision process.
4. Determine whether a loan is acceptable to the lender based on the analysis of risk.
5. Work closely with originators and underwriters to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of live mortgage underwriting experience.
• Able to obtain and decipher AUS findings (DU and LP).
• Experience in full origination mortgage processing, loan set up, loan documentation, closing, title, quality assurance, compliance, underwriting, or assisting with conventional first mortgage loan products.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of US Mortgage Originations, closing procedures, federal and state lending laws.
• Familiarity with Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP).
• Sound knowledge of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac Guidelines.
