As a Senior Associate, you will:Primary activities will focus on the valuation of businesses, business interests, and intangible assets for ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 718/409A, ASC 820 and ASC 805, real estate, complex securities and embedded derivatives; estate and gift tax and charitable contributions for tax and financial reporting purposes.Analyze historical financial and operating results of target companies to explain business trends and identify risks
Analyze and challenge assumptions related to future financial projections
Assist in the development of discount rates (WACC, IRR, WARA, etc.)Conduct financial statement analysis (e.g., common size analysis, ratio analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis)Perform market/industry research and develop industry growth estimates
Construct and review valuation and other financial models
Assist with the design and preparation of valuation reports and other client deliverables
Present analyses and conclusions to internal management and external client POCs, their boards of directors, and to fiduciaries
Work closely with Associate level personnel, directing engagement activity and providing review and mentorship as needed
What you bring to the role
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree and/or certifications including MBA, CA, or CFA would be preferable. Minimum 2+ years of demonstrated experience performing work related to fair value of debt, equity, purchase price allocation, and/or goodwill impairments in a public accounting, consulting, or investment banking environment. A fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, Experience in traditional valuation methods such as discounted cash flow method, guideline public company method and guidance transaction method.
Experience in valuing contingent consideration and valuation for mergers & acquisitions, and other transactions. Experience in building, analyzing, and reviewing financial models for high-level decision-making. Comprehensive experience with financial databases such as:Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and other high-level tools.
Track record of managing multiple high-stakes projects and delivering under tight deadlines. Functional understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations
Demonstrated technical skills working with financial models in ExcelAbility to travel (if required).Work from home as of now
