Job Summary
The Senior Transportation Planner supports the Transport Planning & Traffic Engineering team by delivering traffic demand analyses, master plans, and impact studies for moderately complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct transportation data collection (e.g., traffic counts) in coordination with project teams.
• Coordinate with Traffic Modelers to develop traffic models and network simulations.
• Support in trip generation analysis, O-D matrix development, and traffic volume assessments.
• Prepare drawings such as circulation plans, parking layouts, and signage plans.
• Develop transportation and traffic impact study reports for moderate-complexity projects.
• Review and validate transport and traffic studies with clients and authorities.
• Perform peer reviews of design deliverables and provide feedback to junior team members.
Skill Sets:
• Hands-on experience with key traffic modeling tools such as VISUM(Mandatory), VISSIM, Synchro, MXROAD, SIDRA, HCS, AutoTURN, CUBE, and similar software.
• Strong knowledge and proven experience in transport planning and traffic engineering.
• Solid understanding of international engineering standards, guidelines, and codes.
• Proficiency in transport and land-use planning, traffic modeling, and ITS-related systems.
