Fundraiser

Samya is a Mumbai-based nonprofit working to break the cycle of poverty by tackling

hunger and malnutrition through nutritious, cooked meals. Every day, Samya serves over

300 people especially homeless and marginalised communities with dignity and

compassion. Our mission is rooted in the belief that access to food is a basic human right,

and that nourishment should come with care, visibility, and respect.

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and organized Fundraising Associate to help us mobilize

resources and grow our impact. You will support the fundraising team in managing donor

communications, writing proposals, coordinating campaigns, and ensuring timely reporting.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in social impact and

learn the fundamentals of nonprofit fundraising in India.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in identifying and researching potential CSR, foundation, and HNI donors

Support writing of donor proposals, impact reports, and communication material

Maintain and update donor records and ensure accurate documentation

(Excel/CRM)

Coordinate donor visits, campaigns, and small events or online fundraisers

Support the development of fundraising content for newsletters and social media

Track grant/reporting deadlines and compliance requirements

Requirements

Bachelors degree in any discipline (social sciences, communication, or nonprofit

management preferred)

12 years of experience in fundraising, communications, or development

(internships count)

Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Comfort with digital tools (Google Suite, Excel, Canva, etc.)

Deep commitment to food justice and dignity for the underserved
