Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

We are seeking a SDET to join our team and work directly with Mockingjay, our proprietary full-stack low-code automation testing platform. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer to grow in frontend software engineering, focusing on contributing to platform enhancements while building and maintaining automated tests. Youll be part of our core development team incorporating features into the platform while also learning to collaborate with third-party development teams to create tests.

Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain automated test suites using our in-house Mockingjay platform (with mentorship) - writing test cases does not make you a tester; mockingjay test cases are coded, and not written

Develop client-specific test customizations and configurations in JavaScriptLearn to contribute to Mockingjay platform development by adding features and improvements

Work with LLM-powered features within the platform to enhance test automation capabilities

Collaborate with third-party QA/development teams under guidance to implement testing solutions

Create maintainable test automation solutions using our low-code approach

Participate as a growing member of the product development ( write code, take help from in-house AI and external coding tools like cursor) team

Required Technical SkillsGood understanding of Vanilla JavaScript - core language fundamentals and basic ES6+ features

Understanding of DOM manipulation and basic traversal concepts

Knowledge of CSS Selectors for element targeting and identification

Understanding of HTTP Requests - basic REST API concepts and request/response handling

Familiarity with modern web technologies and browser basics

Basic understanding of version control (Git)Eagerness to learn and grow technical skills

Good communication skills and collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)Playwright experience - even basic exposure to test automation or browser automation

Puppeteer experience - any hands-on experience with headless browser automation

Any exposure to low-code/no-code platforms

Basic familiarity with AI tools or LLM integration

Some knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc)Understanding of CI/CD concepts

Any testing or QA experience
