Job descriptionJob Title: TDMA Network Protocol Developer - Wi-Fi 7 / Qualcomm SoCsLocation: Bengaluru, India (Remote)Company: ISPApp (Startup)Compensation: Competitive, based on experienceAbout Us:ISPApp is a fast-growing startup building next-generation outdoor Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) Wi-Fi platform for WISPs. Were designing high-performance wireless systems from the ground up to handle the demands of modern fixed wireless access.

As we scale our product line based on Qualcomm Wi-Fi 7 SoCs, were looking for passionate developers to join our core engineering team. Position Overview:We are hiring an experienced TDMA Network Protocol Developer to architect and implement advanced MAC-layer scheduling mechanisms over Qualcomm QCA platforms. Youll work with OpenWRT, QCA drivers, and develop real-time QoS systems for PtMP deployments on Wi-Fi 7 SoCs.

Key Responsibilities:Design and implement TDMA-like scheduling protocols and transmission synchronization for Wi-Fi 7 PtMP systems using QCA SoCs. Integrate with OpenWRT and low-level Qualcomm NSS/QSDK drivers. Tune and extend QoS mechanisms to ensure fairness, latency guarantees, and throughput optimization.

Work with radio and link-layer diagnostics, real-time scheduling, and airtime fairness controls. Collaborate with embedded systems and RF teams to align MAC-layer behavior with hardware capabilities. Contribute to system performance benchmarking and optimization.

Required Skills:Strong experience with Qualcomm Wi-Fi SoCs, especially IPQ platforms (e.g., IPQ9574, IPQ6018). Deep familiarity with OpenWRT, Linux networking stack, and kernel module development. Proven experience building or modifying MAC-layer or TDMA-like protocols.

Hands-on experience with QoS mechanisms (e.g., WMM, airtime fairness, hierarchical token buckets). Solid grasp of 802.11 standards, especially target wake time (TWT) and QoS enhancements in 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7). Proficiency in C/C++, kernel space programming, and performance profiling tools.

Nice to Have:Prior experience with real-time wireless scheduling in outdoor or FWA systems. Experience with Qualcomms Wi-Fi SDKs (QSDK) or proprietary APIs.
