Position: DJI Drone Pilot

Location: Kolkata

Experience: 2+ years of drone flying (survey/inspection/mapping)

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Science / Geoinformatics (or related field)

Job Summary

We are looking for a certified DJI Drone Pilot with proven expertise in operating enterprise-grade drones for aerial surveys, inspections, and mapping. The candidate must hold a valid DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) and have hands-on experience with DJI Mavic 3T and DJI Matrice 350 RTK platforms. The role involves executing drone missions for industrial, infrastructure, and mapping projects while ensuring compliance with DGCA regulations and highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Operations & Compliance

• Plan and execute drone missions for surveying, mapping, inspection, and thermal imaging.
• Ensure all operations comply with DGCA regulations and airspace safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks, manage flight logs, and maintain operational records.

Technical Expertise

• Operate and maintain DJI Mavic 3T and DJI Matrice 350 RTK drones.
• Utilize payloads (RGB, thermal, LiDAR, RTK modules) for data capture.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and coordinate with technical teams for maintenance.

Data Acquisition & Processing

• Capture high-quality aerial data (imagery, video, thermal, LiDAR).
• Work with GIS and photogrammetry teams for processing survey outputs.
• Support real-time data transmission and reporting during field missions.

Collaboration & Safety

• Work with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to align drone missions with project needs.
• Implement safety protocols during all field operations.
• Train/support junior pilots and assist in developing operational best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• certified Remote Pilot (Small/Medium/Specific category).
• 2+ years of professional experience in drone operations.
• Proficiency in flying DJI Mavic 3T and DJI Matrice 350 RTK.
• Knowledge of aerial surveying, mapping, and thermal inspections.
• Familiarity with mission planning software (DJI Pilot, DJI Terra, Pix4D, Drone Deploy, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualification

• Experience in infrastructure inspection, powerline/pipeline monitoring, or industrial surveys.
• Knowledge of GIS, photogrammetry, and 3D mapping.
• Familiarity with airspace regulations and UTM systems.
• Ability to work in field conditions across diverse environments.
