3D Generalist

Location: Remote (India preferred) Period: 6 month (extendable) Type: Freelance / Contract (with potential for monthly retainer) Start Date: Immediate About the Role Were developing a supernatural narrative game blending detective storytelling with stylized visuals—and were looking for a talented 3D Character Artist & Animator to bring our world to life. This is a hands-on creative role focused on character modeling and animation , with the chance to leave your mark on a story-rich, indie game experience. If you love creating expressive characters, stylized movement, and working closely with the game director, wed love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Character Art Model stylized humanoid characters with slightly pixelated or low-res aesthetics Maintain clean topology and create efficient UVs for game-ready assets Texture and prep models for rigging and animation Animation Rig characters and create animation loops (idle, walk, run, combat, interactions) Ensure expressive, personality-rich movement that fits the games tone Export optimized animation assets ready for Unity (URP pipeline) Support Tasks Create minor props/environment elements in matching style Support with animation integration or controller setup inside Unity Requirements 3-5 years of experience as a 3D Character Artist or Animator (games preferred) Strong portfolio showcasing stylized characters and animation work Proficiency in Blender, Maya, or similar 3D tools Ability to rig characters and deliver game-optimized assets Comfort working independently and taking ownership of visual consistency Bonus: Experience working with Unity, particularly URP ️ About the Project The game is a stylized 2D/3D hybrid adventure set in a modern world where vampires, mages, and humans coexist. It focuses on storytelling, investigation, and supernatural mystery—think The Wolf Among Us meets Red Strings Club . Were a small indie team committed to delivering emotionally resonant, narratively rich experiences. Youll be joining early, with meaningful input into how our characters look, move, and feel.
