Pharmacist

Objective of the Role:

We are seeking qualified and responsible Pharmacists to manage in-patient (IP), out-patient (OP), and emergency pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate must ensure accurate dispensing of medications, maintain inventory, follow regulatory standards, and provide clear communication to patients and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently to OP, IP, and Emergency departments.
  • Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications before dispensing.
  • Maintain proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation of all drugs and consumables.
  • Maintain daily records of drug issue, returns, and billing.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stock-outs or expiry.
  • Ensure compliance with drug regulatory guidelines (Schedule H, H1, X) and hospital SOPs.
  • Co-ordinate with doctors, nurses, and purchase department for medicine availability.
  • Receive and verify incoming stock as per purchase orders and raise discrepancies if any.
  • Manage narcotic drugs and restricted medications as per legal requirements.
  • Educate patients or caregivers on medication usage, dosage, and storage (when required).
  • Assist in monthly audits, expiry checks, and documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace.

Eligibility & Skills:

  • D.Pharm / B.Pharm / M.Pharm from a recognized institute (must be registered with the State Pharmacy Council).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Freshers may also apply .
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and generic equivalents.
  • Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and under pressure.
  • Attention to detail, ethical conduct, and excellent communication skills.

Shift:

  • Rotational (Day/Night) - Must be comfortable with hospital shift systems.
